Hi! I'm Shelby, owner of wants & kneads, a gluten-free microbakery in Poulsbo, WA.
A microbakery is a small-scale bakery run from home, focusing on limited batches of thoughtfully made goods. It's about quality over quantity and baking with intention and care in a way that keeps things personal and sustainable.
I started wants & kneads because I know firsthand how challenging it can be to find truly delicious gluten-free baked goods. As someone with celiac disease in a family navigating autoimmune conditions, I've spent years searching for treats that don't taste like compromise. So I decided to bake them myself.
For me, food is about more than just eating — it's healing, both physically and emotionally. Enjoy!
